Dedications and Thanks

There are some individuals in my life who I would like to thank and dedicate this blog to:

First, my family.

I want to take this time to thank my Mom and Dad, for inspiring me to be the best I can be. I would also like to thank them for encouraging me to follow my dreams, and to continue to pursue a career in sports journalism. If it wasn't for you guys pushing me and saying "you should get involved" I probably would never have wanted this career and this blog probably would not have existed. I want to thank my Mom for helping me to become a better writer and always telling me to never let my dreams die. I want to also thank my Dad, for countless hours of watching baseball and other sports, talking baseball (even though you don't know what I'm talking about half of the time!) and going to sports games. Thanks for making me into a sports freak Dad.

I want to also thank my brothers Zach and Kyle. Thanks guys, even through all the frustrating times. Kyle, thanks for playing hockey and helping me gain an interest in professional hockey. Zach, thanks for making me take an interest in track and field.

And now, my mentors and teachers.

Mr. Dentato -
From what other students told me prior to this year, I felt a little intimidated when I first met you. Soon after, I realized that this was the start of a great teacher-student relationship. Since we first started talking about the Yankees way back in September, we have had many conversations about various things going on in sports. Since then, you've helped me edit countless articles that I have written for the school's newspaper, in order to make them sound more professional and well written. You've also helped encourage me to keep working on this blog. Without your encouragement and your viewing of this blog, I probably wouldn't be thinking as highly of this blog as I have been. I want to thank you for all the help you've provided to me this year and hopefully for next year as I really push for this career.

Mr. Russell -
I think I've said all that's been said Mr. Russell. You've read my article on your retirement and you told me how moved you were. I want to thank you for everything you've helped me with during my three years in high school.

Dr. Hardy -
Where to start? Since Septemeber, scratch that, August, you've been helping me when it comes to making decisions. Throughout our talks about colleges and other things, you've kept encouraging me to pursue a career in sports journalism. I want to thank you for reading all of my pieces and also for viewing my blog and commenting on how professional you think it is. It truly inspires me that you feel that way about my blog. I want to thank you for helping me this year and next year as I push to look for a good school so I can continue this career.
