Ken Griffey Jr. Retires

According to ESPN, Ken Griffey Jr., "The Kid", has called it quits. After struggling this year with a .184 average, Griffey felt that he wasn't playing his best baseball. He finishes with 630 homeruns, 5th on the all time list, and with a legendary reputation. In his career, Griffey played for the Mariners, Reds, and White Sox. He had one of the most beautiful left handed swings I've ever seen. A first ballot hall of famer, no doubt. We wish him nothing but the best here at the Sport Spot. Here's to Junior.
